We would all be better off if everyone understood and acknowledged this simple fact. Gun ownership at its core is an ethnic identity, not a consumer choice. People of arms do not cling to guns any more than people cling to their own hair.

    In the woods...
Don't blame all the teachers, please. I spent 30 years in education as a teacher and an administrator. As in any vocation you have good ones and crappy ones. And even the ones that graduate with a certificate don't know how they will preform until they get in front of a classroom full of students.

Thanks for saying that. There are good teachers, many of them, and good, conservative school districts. I worked in one for many years, and the majority of teachers were conservative, ethical, passed along good morals, and were good, decent people.

You just can't paint everybody with a broad stroke.

Same with police officers. Same with medical doctors

My apologies, stereotyping is unfair to individuals. Unfortunately, I also know that being a "good" teacher - that is able to teach kids effectively - are not always the ones that can stay in the field or even allowed to stay in the field.

I don't know about the situation in the picture but it bothers me that I absolutely know that comparable scenes have played out in real life. This shit should be included in speculative fiction as a part of some post-apocalyptic societal horror but it shouldn't happen in real life.

Yet it has in the past and, I'm sure, will happen again in the future. It doesn't matter if it's males or females, homosexual or hetero, in whatever combinations...it's simultaneously sad and maddening.

And, come to think of it, it probably should have been in the political picture thread, not this one. There's nothing funny about this but it does contain a strong political element.

ETA - Moved a couple of posts, per the paragraph immediately prior to this one, from the Funny Pictures thread to the Political Pictures thread.
