A doctor who wants to remain anonymous sent 3 News pictures of the damage. Employees at Spohn South discovered the bullet hole in the second floor doctors' sleeping area. It reportedly hit a door and a wall, and then struck a refrigerator across the hallway. No one was hurt and Christus Spohn says they notified authorities as soon as they learned about it. However, police tell 3 News it was first discovered five days ago and they only learned about it later in the week. In a written statement to 3 News, administrators at Christus Spohn say the hospital takes patient, and doctor safety very seriously. The statement also points out a variety of security measures already in place in their facilities.
