It might be yesterday's news but it might be worth a separate discussion on things like the herd mentality that leads to this sort of hoarding, who's encouraging it, and the realities of supply chains and distribution.

Or it might not. It it doesn't develop, I can always fold this topic into the "Outrageous News" thread.
