Some time ago I was given a 12G Parker double by a friend, he said it was his Dad's, he remarried and did not want guns in the home.
Does anyone know where here in Houston, I can get an honest quote on what it's worth?
Also stamped 1918 on the barrel, and in very good condition.
You can join The Parker Gun Collectors Association and post some pics up in their forums: The Parker Gun Collectors Association . The condition of the gun and the model are big deals in terms of value. One of the people at The Gun Emporium in Conroe is trying to start a gun museum and is in the market for rare/collectible/historical guns. You could ask what they would give you for it. They seemed to be pretty fair when I was trying to get rid of mine. He offered almost twice as much in value if I had traded it and paid the difference on a new gun. Something to think about if you are in the market to buy a gun.
