Actually this makes some sort of sense because EVs don't pay the gas tax used for road maintenance and they actually put more wear and tear on roads than a similar gas guzzler because of the weight of their battery. If we all go EV and no one pays gas tax where is the money going to come from. It just makes all roads and streets toll roads. But it is the future.
