I would have done the same!

Interested in the “Legal” aspect opinions here.

Was he in imminent danger to his life to justify the killing?

    Only ONE witness ;-)

Legally it’s going to depend on the jurisdiction and whether kidnapping justifies the use of lethal force.

Morally, if the guy was trying to kidnap his child I’m ok with it.

The story is so poorly written or I’ve not had enough coffe, but I get the jist there is history there with the old geezer and daughter. If the daughter is the witness to the guys crimes, the shooting may be more justified.

Room temp clown was already arrested for grooming and raping her., He had a no contact order. He deserved a wood chipper.
I could never find him guilty if i was on the jury.

I'm trying to think of any jurisdiction where kidnapping doesn't justify the use of lethal force...and that doesn't mean leftist prosecutors wouldn't try to punish the father for saving his daughter, it just means I'm pretty sure the actual law (as written) is on his side just about anywhere in this country.

Attempting to remember the case and law. Had to do with hotels and motels being 'gun-free' zones - NOT. Refresh our memory. Yup, staff found a gun, called cops.
