    I have a number of boxes 12ga. shotgun shells that was handed down to me by my Dad they are old how long do they last they look Ok ?

    As long as they look ok, I wouldn't worry about it.

    They still shoot surplus WWII ammo. . .

    If they look rusted, I wouldn't bother, but that is just me. 12 gauge is cheap.

    Your pictures are not very clear. If they have been kept in relatively cool dry conditions, they are not rusty or overly tarnished, they should be OK. A bunch of us will be at the Lone Star range 3-13-10 for a meet and greet. You are welcome to join us and bring along a sampling for a more educated opinion.
