Having owned several early models of both, the only similarity I recall was the Chevy “Bow-Tie” logo emblem.I remember Corvette and Corvair concept cars were awfully similar.

In the 60s there was only one ford with independent rear suspension...it could do 0-100 in first gear, 0 to100 and back to zero stopped dead fully controlled in 13 seconds<>
Yes, but those on early Corvairs; 1960 - ‘62, could “fold’ under in tight turns. Happened to me once, took ditch. There was grass sticking between the rim and the tire, yet there had been no loss of air pressure ?
I never understood how that could happen.
