    Interesting tidbit, that radar-looking thingy is actually the AN/MSR-T4 Threat Reaction Analysis Indicator System (TRAINS) used to train Electronic Warfare Officers. Pretty cool system for what it was.
    The comment that came with that picture mentioned it was during red flag. He also mentioned how every year they had to ban low level supersonic because F-111s were damaging equipment on the ground.

    Yep, -111s would fly supersonic at very low levels and blow out all the windows at the sites. I guess it was more common during "bug trips" out in the boonies. Guys on site loved it, but couldn't keep explaining the damage.
