Rare sight to see any naval ship coming out of the bay area nowadays since they closed all the bases there.

Are they all closed?
They still have the annual Fleet Week festivities there...which sadly also bring quite a few protests.
They always screamed about the bases, especially nuclear powered ships, being in the bay area. In the 90's they closed all the bases there, then they screamed about all business they lost.

Lol.Did you drive your truck to Vancouver?
Steam clock. Gas town district of Vancouver BC.
No shortage of drinking places there. The gas town district is where we used to drink when we were teens, about a 3 hour drive from Seattle.
Yeah, they were more lounges than bars.No shortage of drinking places there.
Dinner date! Poor dog hasn't got a clue it's on the menu!
I was trout fishing on a small local city lake, frequented by cormorants, and this day a big heron hanging around. I hooked one, and when the trut surfaced, the cormorant jumped in and tried to take and got tangled in the line. While I was struggling with that, the heron swooped in and stole the fish off the hook. I only got bitten twice getting the cormorant untangled.
Fun to watch. We have a nice pond out back. I see Herons and Egrets catching fish and snakes that, it appears, are way too large for them to swallow. But, they seem to handle it.I was trout fishing on a small local city lake, frequented by cormorants, and this day a big heron hanging around.
