    This is the Swedish warship Vasa. It sank in 1628 and was recovered from the ocean in 1961, almost completely intact. This is the only remaining intact ship from the 1600’s. This ship is housed in The Vasa Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. The museum was built around the ship.

    Ive been to that museum. It was a mandatory fun day when my ship was there in 1991.

    FYI, the Vasa sank exiting the harbor on her maiden voyage. At least, that’s what the beautiful blonde tour guide told us in her limited English.
