    We were on a "duck tour " out or San Diego one summer.
    Boat capitan/tour guide was a navy vet.
    We were enjoying the bay area when he came almost unglued.
    A nuclear sub was being escorted into berth by a few armed guide boat.
    We passed around the binoculars so everyone could see the 50 caliber guns pointed directly at us. The submarine was cool. The escorts were sobering.
