So does anyone that buys low and sells high bother you?

I believe it's fair game to make a buck off those that don't prepare themselves for these situations.

I personally hope they sell every round of it at asking price. Good for them.

That's the free market I believe in.

The mod said, " let it fall into obscurity". A for-sale posting for gun-related items at inflated prices! YOU are the reason for this PANIC-demic. You lack integrity and I am embarrased we even share bandwidth.

Maybe I'm a quart low on coffee, but "YOU" as in the mod or the guy selling?

I would sell some ammo at a reasonable mark-up right now. I've paid higher prices in the past when I wasn't prepared. I was glad to do it, too, because I wanted the stuff right now in case it got worse.

A markup now means the seller can rebuy later & pays them for the risk of not being able to rebuy if thing do get worse.

    Capitalism is amoral.
That means it is neither good nor bad.

It is just someone offering a good or service into a marketplace for a profit hopefully.

Capitalism can be considered immoral because a hooker and a meth dealer are engaged in capitalism.
Or CTD offers 30 round mags 12 hrs after Sandy Hook for $99

    People remember things like that.

I feel more strongly about folks going to all stores in a region, buying-up all of a particular life-necessity, creating a monolpoly, then gauging during dire times because folks don’t have a choice.

Anything else is an irritation but there’s no law against irritating me.

I tend to agree. I was frustrated yesterday by the amount of stupidity I'm dealing with at work and with several liberal family members.

I was referring to sellers who are attempting to make exorbitant profits off members of the same forum.
I liken it to what CTD is doing and being criticized for doing.
But, everyone is free to sell, and buy, at whatever price they choose.
    Caveat Emptor.

The nice thing about a capitalist free market is that buyers can sell for any amount they want and sellers can buy for any price they want or both can just say F-it if things are not to their liking. It balances out in time depending upon supply and demand and whether or not another buyer selling, or another seller buying, the same thing comes along. I do not like it at all when folks raise their prices to outlandish levels or when folks buy at those prohibitively high prices but capitalism beats communism, fascism, and socialism no matter what.

I don't like people taking advantage of the situation to screw other folks but that's capitalism and it beats what's in second place.

It balances out when I see as many or more threads with folks asking non-panic prices and offering to help each other.

I have enough crap to worry about and just try to ignore the 'opportunists'.

I hate to see folks taken advantage of also. So far, I have loaned ammo to 3 different people. I won't sell it to them because I would feel guilty charging current market value. In all 3 cases I have said for them to just give me the same amount of ammo back once things settle down.

I'm not saying I run around giving ammo to everyone. Two of these people are really good friends, and the other is a close family member who all got caught not paying attention to their ammo supply and current pricing.

The manufacturer sells to a distributor who then sells to a retailer who then sells to the public. Each one marks up the price. I hear that jewelry has a 300% markup. That is capitalism. What I don't like is the company that accepts your order and then cancels you to sell your order to someone else at a higher price.
