    Howdy. Got some really good news that I’ve been waiting for since August last night.

    Only some paperwork, a medical exam, and some bureaucratic delays on the part of the FAA and I’ll be able to get back in the cockpit.
    Congrats - that's great. I've heard that can be a nightmare to deal with.

    It can be. I have a history of melanoma and some endocrine issues which the FAA is quite cautious about. The funny thing is the melanoma is easy to control for in the FAAs sense, but the endocrine issues they really want hard data the doc guesses correctly at the root cause and it is controlled.

    That required a lot of extra hoops to rule out and a 90-day minimum follow up showing the treatment is effective.

    Better part is that after this renewal, I’ll have options in the future to avoid this If Inso desire.
