House behind ours got struck and caught fire a couple of years ago.
    The fire damage was minimal.
The fire department damage was bad enough it had to be torn down and a new house built.

Those FD guys love to spray water and pull down ceilings, poke holes in the walls and chop holes in the roof

Got a chance to better see the damage yesterday. Strike went thru the middle of the roof, looks like it found a metal roof vent cover. 6x8 tarp covering the FD’s hole and a partial collapse at the ridge line.

I don’t know if this house is a two story or not, but I’m guessing half the roof structure needs replacing along with whatever water damage and secondary damage from the water soaked insulation, but that’s what insurance is for. The bigger hit will likely be the disclosure required when they go to sell.

I gave all my guns away today, to my hubby. Like he needed more.

Knew it was time; went out to shoot with him a little while ago and couldn't see even the close targets, so there it is. Life is good and there's still bunches of things I enjoy doing and will be able to continue doing for many years... Like coming in here and raising hell, lol.
    YEEE HAWWW!! :cowboy:
Sorry to hear that but good to see you have a great attitude!
