    Yes but LED bulbs now make a huge difference
    Most 60W equivalent LED bulbs pull about 9W. Figure that at 12 cents per kWh, which is what my co-op is charging. My cost to run that LED, per month is 3 cents. Now that nasty old 60W incandescent Dad yelled at you for leaving on, at today's cost, is just under 1 penny a day.

    That's very interesting. 3 cents versus 30 cents a month.
