Years ago I was a regular blood donor. Then one time I passed out. They gave me 2 units of glucose?? IIRC and fed me more chocolate chip cookies than I could eat. Caused quite a stir in the hospital where I was. Once I was stabilized they said I had a reaction and unless I wanted to be in the hospital don't donate again. I took them at their word. I still don't like the bloodwork drawing but it's caused no problems.
