    Was looking at the Escapes earlier. Maybe I'll give those another look. Appreciate the sanity check.

    If you want NEW, Truck month will be back around the end of February... if you can get a beater to get you by for a few months, then get a 2019 close out. The last 2 F150s I've got were the previous years model. The 1st one was 42k... got it for 29k, the 2nd was 55k & got it for 40k.

    ERS flash flood warnings.
    Nothing like missing 10 minutes of a 30 minute program.
    My cable coax runs into my CableCard-equipped Tivo which is connected to my TV. Every time one of those happens, the Tivo box interrupts the pre-recorded program I'm watching, suspends playback for a while, then dumps me back into live TV so that I have to go through multiple button presses to get back to what I was watching.

    At least back when I watched pre-recorded shows on VHS tape, there was no way for an emergency alert of any sort to break into what I was watching.

    For a while, as you rightly pointed out, this evening was a pain in the tuchus.
