Got pulled over last night, first time in 15 years, for doing 47 in a 30. Got a written warning thankfully but the rub is this area used to be a 45 and is evidently now a 30.

I'm aware of "the rub", but what are you saying in your post exactly?
What is "the rub" replacing?
Police used to let people drive 45 in this area, but the speed limit is 30?

I got pulled over for doing what used to be the speed limit (ok 2 over) on that road. It's evidently a 30 now but isn't even posted. There's no sign at all. I did get stopped just before a sign that said 35.

Officer was great though and let me off with a warning so I can't complain too much. He didn't even say a word about my LTC, just handed it back before going to run my information and write out the warning.
