Prefer to fry crappie and catch bass.
In the early spring and late fall, I might turn that around, but I always release the larger (3lbs +/-) black bass, no matter when caught.
My personal record black bass is 8lbs 4oz (the one the dog ate).
Until I ever exceed that, it is C&R for the black bass lunkers.
