They do the same with Ukrainian equipment, and it pretty clearly shows the disparity of losses between the two. This war has been far more costly to Russia, both in total losses and in percentage of their total arsenal.
The reporting bias (visibility) of Ukrainian losses *should* skew their losses to be reported at closer to the actual loss rate too. I.e. If a russian tank tosses its turret a ways back from the front, it more likely there will not be an available photo to confirm the kill, while it is presumably more likely available should Ukraine lose equipment.

I'm not sure how this applies to the Ukraine war, but it's an accomplishment, depending on why they have stayed together. Good for them. Maybe they will be buried together in eternity.

More tire "protection" on RuAFcombat aircraft. This might break up the outline or IR signature enough to make targeting more difficult but...all it would take is one flare to set all those tires on fire.

    How interesting.

Yeah, I'm sure their maintenance troops love it...I can't imagine trying to overhaul a jet engine outdoors in a Russian winter. But it fits with the old Soviet doctrine of individuals being expendable which seems to have carried over right to the current day. Ukrainians hit 2 ruzzian warships at Sevastopol, maybe with Storm Shadow missiles. The submarine hit carried Caliber missiles and had been used to attack Ukrainian cities, so a little payback.

I doubt any claims on either side, but if it makes people happy...ok.
You have to be pretty deep in the rabbit hole to dismiss this attack. Ukriane has been shown to be generally accurate and not prone to wild exaggeration or misrepresentation.

Here are some publicly avail photos of the target of the attack and it's results.

    No, just insightful.

    Agreed.

I'm going to leave this thread as is for a few hours to let folks see the sort of content that belongs in the other thread.

It looks like the clean-up that I thought I was going to have to do in the next few days or weeks is coming much sooner.

Thanks for all you do Ben.

Here are a couple more photos showing the damage.

Are there any predictions from reliable sources on how long each side can last?

    Check youtube for
    "Covert Cabal"
    &
    "Perun"

Both dive into how long the waring parties can last. Both can last a long time so long as Ukraine continues to get support from the west.

russia has substantial amounts of equipment, but it is old and far from be able to be used due to years/decades of corruption and neglected maintenance.

Similar story for munitions and artillery... lots in stock, but the readiness of the guns is in question and the logistics of storing ammo at the front is more difficult with HIMARS' range.

I thought these were interesting. Vermillion is a contractor that had hands on experience training Ukrainian forces. Conversation centers around firearms but discussions of tactics, strategy, conditions on the ground (at the time he was there), etc, are all interlaced.

@benenglish I'm new to this thread but I believe this posts falls in line with its parameters. If not, do what you gotta do.
