    Hey Gennosse,
I have had around a dozen, newly immigrated from Russian and eastern bloc countries, men and women, attend Appleseed events here in Texas. The one thing that has been common in all of them, is when we talk about making sure we protect our right to keep and bear firearms, every single one of them were listening with both ears.

They have experienced living under the thumb of a repressive government and have no illusions that it is very possible to be a servant, and not a citizen, and are determined for it not to happen again.

If you are ever in Texas, please feel free to stop in and visit.
God bless and protect you Gennosse'

I don't think this place is private/state property.
There is many villages. I don't think that we will hunt right in this area.
May be next to. There is realy beautiful nature.
Silence, forest, pure air, and mystery atmosphere...

PS. Where are you from, Strelok?

    GENOSSE~

I was born and raised in Texas. I served in the Military
during the heigth of the Cold War with the Soviet Union.
Because of that I have the highest respect for Russians
and I appreciate many things from that side of the world.
I've actually been to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky but maybe
that doesn't really count since the view was through a Periscope.
Since you are Russian you should appreciate my Forum User Name.

    Strelok is Стрелок (Shooter).
It's very interest to tell with enemy of USSR in Cold War, really!
I want to serve in US Army. That's my dream.

BTW, I have a talk with old man, he was a german soldier in WW2. He became a POW in 1943. Now he lives in village close to Krasnoyarsk. He didn't want to return in Germany and now don't want. But he has a son in Germany. He is very interest man.

Scout, I saw russians in USA. I think not many of them will be able to accept new american conditions of life. Only youngs. When I had some troubles in America, I was ask only americans, because not all russians honest are, they could cheat me. They could not accept american life, they could not find a job, they trying to earn some money any way. Really, russians is different.

    Genosse~

I had a History Teacher who was a Fighter Pilot in World War II.
He was shot down and sent to a Prison Camp far from his home.
After the War ended he stayed in the country he was a P.O.W.
in and married a local woman and eventually became a citizen of
that country. Eventually he became a college teacher there too.
The Prison Camp was in Texas and he had served in the Luftwaffe.

There are no restrictions to being born in the United States or being
a U.S. Citizen to joining the various Armed Services of the United States.
You only need to be a legal resident or from a former or present Territory
to enlist. I served with several Filipinos and know of many European and
Latin American Citizens of other countries who have served first before
becoming U.S. Citizens. You don't even have to be Christian as your
Religious preference has no bearing. Unlike most of the rest of the
entire world, the U.S. has no Conscription. The Armed Forces
of the United States of America are totally Voluntary.

If it is said that the United States defeated the Soviet Union in the
Cold War, just as much credit should be given to the Russian People
who stood with Boris Yeltsin when he jumped upon the Tank in front
of the Russian White House. To understand America is to look at how
it treated Germany & Japan after World War II and to see their standing
with us today. The U.S. & Russia today have more things in common than
their differences. Always remember that when after the Columbia Shuttle
blew up, the only way Americans continued to go into Space to the I.S.S.
( International Space Station ) were riding with Cosmonauts on Russian
Rockets. There is no other Country in the World that can offer that.

I agree, that our countries is similar. But we have difference in relationship of peole. For example, in Russia if I see a criminal in action I prefer to keep silence and forget about this, even if I see a killing. But I don't want have similar views to problems.
After USSR many peoples who was in GULAG because somebody informate police cicken shit. And now it's a shame to infomate police. Keep silence and be a blind to crime is a normal. I don't want live in this society.

Сoncerning Army, I don't like russian army. In fact it's legal slavery. Conscript personnel does not learn to shoot, to fight etc... They just buil expencive houses for fat and stupid generals... I can't understand what I pay taxes for. And what I did bad, that I must to give away two years of MY life in slavery?
That's just two negative things I don't like in Russia. I can give too many examples of a shit in russian government's heads. Everybody knows and see that promlems, but nobody wants to do something.

That is a sad state of affairs, Genosse. Sometimes we don't realize how fortunate we are to live in a relatively free society. Liberty offers one freedom to do as he pleases and compels one to do as he should. Sadly, as your example demonstrates, without Liberty, there is no compulsion to do what is right.

I hope you get here soon, Genosse. I think you will fit right in.

By the way, I like your signature line!

So Genosse, what do you need to do in order to come to USA? If you were in a boarder country (Mexico) you could just walk in, and get all of your free stuff right away.

I can get in US legally. But it will temporarry. Than I will must to get out of US. I understand US government policy of allians. But many peoples like me ready prove allegiancy to country and its citizens. Even if it menace my safety and my life. I'm ready to go in Iraq and Afghanistan and serve for happiness US citizens, even if I'm not US citizen or GC holder. But US law doesn't allow me prove my allegiancy.
I can wait a smile of fortune and get a GC in lottery or arrive in US illegaly and hire a lower for help. Or I can find an employer who will call to government of US give me a Green Card. But this process is very hard for employer and nobody wants to spend his time to get unsimilar russian guy.
    Thats unreal...
I could get in Mexico right now. But I haven't guaranties your military doesn't catch me on a boarder and send to jail :(
But I ready to take risk...
