Hi, found this website today, what a great resource! I've been reading it for about an hour now, lots of well informed and helpful people.

I've got 2 questions I'm hoping you folks can help me with.

    1. Are there any San Antonio ranges that let you shoot steel cased ammo?
    2. I've got twin 13 year old sons who I'd like to teach to shoot. Like to start with rifles and eventually pistols. I've always learned that its best not to teach family members yourself, not that I'm even remotely qualified to do so. Any recommendations for a shooting class for teenagers?

    Thanks.

I couldn't even imagine missing out on teaching my son to shoot. You really dont want to let that opportunity pass you by. If you believe your lacking the skills, than hook up with another family to meet at the range.
Let them learn with you at the helm, with someone backing you up.
We have a large SA group, many of us would share family shooting time...

Most ranges don't have a problem with steel cases that I know of.
    If you're your kids I recommend a .22 or even a BB gun, that's how I learned.

    1. Clear front sight
    2. Consistent trigger pull straight to the rear. The "squeeze" terminology never made sense to me because I would squeeze with my whole hand. You want to limit sympathetic hand movement.
