New Henry .17!!!!!! So happy, happy, happy!

Finally able to get one, love my LGS. Can't wait to get it to work, the action feels awesome.

Questions for the crowd:
.17 rounds that work/favorite and bad ones?
How far have you shot one?
I usually put sights on my rifles, but thinking I'm going to leave the iron sights, opinions?

I've divested myself of .17HMR guns as the ammo costs (even before the silliness) had risen too high for what the round delivers, IMO.

That said, I liked Hornady's ammo the best.

Iron sights FTW were it mine. It's hard to beat the fun of a lever action with open sights.

I found mine wasnt super accurate so iron sights for me!

I had good luck with Hornady ammo in my bolt gun, but I do drink the red Koolaid also.

.17s are best used with good glass. I will admit that a levergun looks a little funny with a scope but .17s are too flat shooting and accurate for iron sights.
