Yeah um a Tommy gun would be my choice.
Way to heavy compared to the modern built stuff. Plus the cost of barrel removal, cut, crown and rethreaded. A Tommy gun with a suppressor just wouldn't look right.

Someone needs to make semi Grease gun as they where suppressed. I was thinking to myself how cool a De Lisle Commando carbine would be.

But I don't use suppressors or need a short barrel it would just be for flinging bullets. ;)

Some guns don't make a lot of sense unless they are full auto. The Thompson being one of them. YMMV.
I went int the LGS and see what appears to be a very clean M240. I smile and my tiny pea brain starts thinking post sample, because it looks brand new. I ask them what’s up with this? Of course they want to play with the old man’s brain before saying it’s not a real M240 rather a semi. $14K for it. Being an old man I remember seeing old school transferable FN Mag belt feeds bringing bc a hefty price.

I remember a FN 249S sitting at the LGS marked at ~$4K. Now they're 2X+ more. Somebody must be buying them.
