    Saving that link.
I lost my home to a fire in 2011. We have since rebuilt, but have been planning a fire proof room in my shop to be built of concrete filled cinder block, Vault door, and a mini split ac system for climate and humidity control.
My shop is tall enough that I could add a second level to it if needed, but the initial plan is just a ground level 14x16 secure building inside the building.

    And a lot of work!
Yeah but most of those people pay others to do the work.
So it really comes down to just money.
I've been in a couple nice gun rooms and or bunkers. One guy had 3 full pallets of ammo he paid some poor sucker to carry it all down stairs and re palletized it in the gun room.

I get that, but I am a tightwad and won't pay someone else to do it.
But if not for the tighwad factor, it might already be done.
