Streamlight or Sure-fire quickly come to mind, but your $100 budget might be hard to hit.
I have been using Streamlight products for close to twenty years now, and highly recommend them.
I am really rethinking my China purchases. They also bragged about selling us thermometers miscalibrated so that they would read normal when you really had a fever. Olight stuff looks nice but all from China.Have you got a picatinny rail, or can you mount one on the handguard? If so:

This here will do the job, and they periodically have sales that bring the price down around $100...

No argument there; however, unlike most Chinese junk, these are actually pretty solid, and pretty damn good lights for the price (particularly if the high-end surefires are over budget, or you need a bunch of them...)Chinese, with no US company standing behind it.
Agreed, and this is likely one a very few exceptions I'd make, particularly until we get our own mfg base back up and running, and if there's immediate need...I am really rethinking my China purchases. As so many others have said. Surefire (out of your price range) and Streamlight. You may have to go over budget by a little bit but you will only be buying one light. Just make sure it is made to be on a gun.
Buying one light was what I thought too. Reality is I have 2 SureFire M322 V white/IR Scout lights. As so many others have said. Surefire (out of your price range) and Streamlight. You may have to go over budget by a little bit but you will only be buying one light. Just make sure it is made to be on a gun.
Try InForce. Qualify as made in USA (they might source some non-US components.

If you keep your eye out, this version can be had for <$100 from time to time and the benefit is its low profile and a separate mount is not required.

Good to know. I have a few on my AR's. Thanks to the good Lord I haven't had a need to 'rely' on them. I don't run my AR's vet hard either transporting from safe to range to safe.I habe seen more than a few inforces break.
They have a neat design, but are just too fragile to depend upon
