My posts don't count....
Police received a call of an active shooter at 10:13 a.m., Aaron said. Officers responded "swiftly," entered the first floor and began clearing the area, he said. They "immediately went to the gunfire," he said.
Two of the five officers on the floor opened fire on the shooter and killed Hale by 10:27 a.m., Aaron said. The intruder was in a "lobby-type area," not a classroom, Aaron said.
Fourteen minutes....that's how long it took to put the mad dog down. Amazing how it didn't kill any more unarmed school personnel and children than it did.....
.....and this is why I consider ANY law that prohibits school employees with a LTC from carrying on the job a sick joke. Even the Texas School Guardian program is just another may-issue carry farce by another name. All this prohibition does is give mad dogs like this more time to kill (pun intended) while the SROs and LEOs race to the scene (....or not. Looking at you, UPD....). Until all LTCs can carry at school, the Governor and Legislature is only giving lip service to school safety.....eagerly waiting to take their place in front of the cameras covering the next tragedy.
