Less than 200 years ago we didn't have "war" on drugs either. If you had bad habits you were shunned from society, but it was your choice and none of the government's bushiness.

Then again we had people killing themselves on their horses 200 years ago... Not crystal meth-heads getting into 2 tons vehicles and possibly killing your next door neighbor and her two angels...

Very true, no automobiles back then... Also no self loading rifles with 30 round magazines.
