I have seen so many westerns in my lifetime it is hard to think of only the 10 I consider the best. I am sure if I woke up the little gray cells and got them to working a bit harder, I'd maybe have to change one or two on this list. Anyway, here are the ones I can think of for now, in no particular order:

Arizona - with Jean Arthur & William Holden (two all time greats in the world of acting)
A Big Hand For The Little Lady
    The Rare Breed
    The Westerner
    High Noon
    True Grit (1969)
    Two Mules For Sister Sarah
    The Paleface
    The Mountain Men
    Tombstone (1993)

Honorable mention goes to City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold and to My Little Chickadee.

I’m really disappointed. It appears nobody thought to list my personal favorite western movie.

Between John Wayne and Clint Eastwood I'd be happy with their westerns, but it is hard to leave out Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and maybe even Randolph Scott...
