Those of you that attend places of worship are probably familiar with such terms as music ministry, feed-the-hungry ministry, housing ministry, etc. Basically ministries meet a need. Well my place of worship recently formed a security ministry where participants are licensed to carry. Some participants walk the outside perimeter of the building during services. Some participants are seated stragetically throughout the pews and constantly look for any strangely behaving people. Participants hold regularly scheduled drills on how the team members will respond to an active shooter. All parishners have been instructed to get down when security yells "down". Wow this is what places of worship are forced to do nowadays. I thought this was interesting. Anyone attempting to shoot during our services won't last a minute!
