Career criminal attacks woman, chokes her, tries to rape her. Some bon mots from the sheriff:

Wright said, "It's too bad someone with a concealed weapons permit didn't walk by. That would fix it." He said people are tired of doing the right thing and criminals getting away with their actions.

    and...

Wright said in his view, gun control is, "How fast can you can get the barrel of your gun back on the target?"

And some idiot from MSNBC (redundant, I know) thinks the good sheriff is wrong. A choice quote from said idiot in re women protecting themselves from an attacker:

"CRAIG MELVIN, NewsNation guest host: If women are shooting potential attackers, aren't they presuming guilt before innocence? What if a woman kills an attacker? Isn't that opening another whole legal can of worms?
Sheriff CHUCK WRIGHT, Spartanburg, S.C.: Well, it's easy to fix that. Just don't attack a woman...."

He said he is tired of the system failing the victims, doesn't believe sexual criminals should be out b/c they won't ever change/rehabilitated. Good guy in my eyes.
