Yes, I agree.I didn’t mean peaceful as in the opposite of violent I meant non peaceful in a way that would disrupt other student's or interrupt their learning which would be breaking the rules of UT Austin.
Yeah, I saw some anti war protests when I was at UT in the 1960s.Look specifically at 64/65 ( I was in SF in 65). Then look at the groups organizing.List of protests against the Vietnam War - Wikipedia

Agreed, except suppressing a planned protest prior to the actual event is like being judged guilty preemptively? Were it is an organic local protest I'd err on the side of letting them protest a bit more. Protests that are part of profesional coordinated, and planned agitation, I gotta side with erring toward curtailment prior to asymptomatic insanity.
Who says they are citizens & have 1st ammendment rights. If you were here on a student visa & over stayed your visa, you are here illegally & don't have US citizen rights.
Inalienable rights don't only apply to citizens...
Washington wants everything under Fed control rather that State control. So Fed wants Air National guard under Fed control vs Governors?
Only Abbott and DeSantis didn't sign? I didn't see the explanation for those two unexpected holdouts? So Fed wants Air National guard under Fed control vs Governors?
I was under the impression that this group of protestors believe that speech is violence. For example, if you say Trump was a great President or DEI is BS then you were causing psychological harm by your words and that this was violence. I would think that chanting from the River to The Sea and what it implies would be violent speech as well.
