He can't fight in an all volunteer fighting organization and can't have sexually oriented pictures of children? He calls this discriminatory? Come hang out in my neighborhood and I'll show you discriminatory, perv.
Hope this fool gets maxed out in his courts martial and gets nymphomaniac Bubba as his cellmate.

I want more background on this before I make a decision.

I think he's a POS just for his conscientious objector thing.

But as far as the CP thing goes.
He's 21. Say for instance that he has a 18 y/o girlfriend who is still in HS or something. If she sent him a nudie pic, it would still be considered as CP!
If it's an instance like that, my thoughts would be far less extreme than they would be if he had pics of little kiddies or something.
Ya'll get what I'm saying here?

Not advocating it, but in my life I've seen 18 year old Privates convicted for similar stuff because they happened to have a GF from HS who simply hadn't turned 18 yet with him.

Point taken. The Article 32 will identify the validity of the charges. I have a special place in my heart for those that hurt kids, so maybe I am jumping the gun, but a CO needs to be in the Salvation Army, not the U.S. Army, so I already have a sub-optimal opinion of this guy.

The U.S. has been in active conflict in the Middle East since before this 21 year old sprouted short and curlies, so I see his enlistment as theft from the government. He had to know he was going to be deployed and would probably see shots fired in anger. He's a malingering vagina (profanity filter wouldn't let me type the other), in my opinion.

I think we can all agree on that. Didn't we used to call that treason?

Why the **** would you join the military, choose infantry, then tell them you don't want to go to war? ... Um ... the **** else do you think the infantry does!?

This guy should be drug out and shot for a number of reasons.

    1) He's a moron, kill him before he can breed.
    2) He wasted our money, time, and effort training him.
    3) He's a coward and disgrace to the uniform. He should have his uniform stripped from him at once.
    4) He's a peder-ass.

If it's a real case of kiddie porn then yeah, crucify him. I have a 0 tolerance policy for pedophiles.

On his CO status, I can see how someone could change their mind once their in. Some 17 yr old joins up as a kid and then matures while in the service and decides his moral and religious outlook on life has changed, especially after seeing people lose their lives. Not saying that's his case at all though.

If it's legit then I'd dishonorably discharge him and make him pay back any benefits he received. Maybe some jail time, but I wouldn't consider it treason. If you're seriously a CO then you should be willing to spend some time in jail for your beliefs.

Now if he bailed while in a conflict I'd shoot him out in the field and leave him there. Keeping him around could get someone killed.

Discharging someone because he's a conscientious objector is going too easy on him. He could still be deployed. Someone has to clean the latrines and haul the trash after all. Plus just because he has a moral objection to killing someone doesn't mean he can't carry ammo. I bet if he was put on the front lines as ammo bitch with no weapon he'd change his mind real quick.

I don't think he's a real conscientious objector, anyways. He's only objecting because he'd be killing other Muslims. A real conscientious objector doesn't want to kill no matter who the other person is.

Very true. A couple people I know who are CO even talk about whether or not they could shoot someone coming into their house to harm them. They would literally consider being killed rather than hurting someone.

I wish I was wired with that level of kindness. I would shoot you for stealing my stuff after dark, maybe even just at sundown

He is an idiot, but I'm suspicious of any situation where someone does something Uncle Sam doesn't like then gets "Found" with kiddie porn (especially if computers are involved). Call me paranoid.

I remember in the Persian Gulf War the scores of U.S. servicemen and women who refused to serve in combat, and the reason most often given before the camera was, "I never thought I'd have to actually go to war." :banghead:

To me, people like that are contemptible beyond words, have no honor, and are worthless human beings. They should be imprisoned and be forced to shovel steer shit the rest of their lives. Rant over.
