    Oh, yeah. I work just down the street from one of the suppliers that makes MRE components. I can smell it when they're making pound cake. They also make the bread.

    Thanks OP for posting this. Have been curious too. Seen some freeze-dried products online bu some seem pretty expensive.

    I have a 12-pack box of MRE's I picked up about 5 years ago - uhoh, I wonder if they're still edible? Guess I should find out XD
