So, I'm down at Academy after work this afternoon, looking for .22, and the counter people were all excited. They got a Mossberg Blaze in - MSRP $160. They pulled it out of the box and the wrappings. I just listened for a bit:
Clerk #1: I've never seen one of these before. (hands it to #2)
#2: "These sights are really crappy and the front one is bent"
#1: (fondling the front sight) "Hey, they are plastic and you can just bend it over with your thumb!"
#1 again: "the whole thing is soft and loose on the barrel."
#2: "This gun looks cheap"
Me: "For $10 more, you could get a 10/22"
#1: (They just look at me)
Sigh.
