More leg room on a Harley

A couple of questions for those that ride. I'm a large guy needing some space (leg room).

1. Is putting a TallBoy seat on a Road King worth it in terms of $ vs leg room gained? Comfort level?
2. Anyone have floorboard or foot control extensions? Worth it?
3. Suggestions / solutions to gain a few extra inches appreciated?

Extensions for your floorboards can be made rather cheaply. There are also probably forward control options available IF you wanted to go to pegs.
