Well, just one of life's little victories, but it makes me happy.

I went out shopping yesterday for shoes (starting to look a little raggedy) and socks (religion is a position thing ut holy socks aren't good).

Anyways, I try to buy American made things as much as possible (actually USA made). And yesterday, I was able to buy my shoes and socks with "made in the USA" labels.

One of the things I believe in, but it's hard to do sometimes. Thanks to New Balance for always having a decent selection of their shoes made here. I'll send off an e-mail to thank them! But New Balance has always been doing this. I was really surprised to find some socks made here (Magellan).

And yes...I know....the materials may be imported or some other blah blah blah. But it's doing something to help keep some jobs here in the states.

Maybe. The wealthier they become, the higher standard of living the people will expect, higher pay, higher prices. Then the next 3rd world country becomes the manufacturing mecca. But China may take a while. They have a whole slew of people to raise the standard of living for.
