My son was shooting our M1 Carbine. The hull did not extract and the bolt is so tight I can not move it. I believe it has a hull in it and not a live round. I tried pulling the trigger and nothing happens so that makes me think it is not a live round in it. Any ideas anyone??? Thanks

The case probably ruptured and is stuck in the chamber. If that is the case, you can insert a rod into the barrel and tap the case out from the inside. If you try to extract the case by pulling on or hitting the cocking handle, you are likely to pull the rim off the case or break the extractor. It could be something else, I'm not too familiar with the M1 Carbine, but that is what it sounds like to me.
