Alright Ladies and Gents, here is the lunch thread. Nothing is worse than a cranky, hungry person on the range, so if you agree, here is the place to prevent it. I plan on bringing some sweet butts for everyone to enjoy. I will try to keep this post updated.

Need buns, bbq sauce, beans, pickles and various other delectable meats. There are other things that people might possibly enjoy - desserts, appetizers, breakfast tacos, paper towels, utensils, etc. If you want to bring tofu, or other bean curd, hide in your Prius. We will find you.

    Me - Pork butt
Byrd666 - Paper Plates, cups, paper towels
JRB - beans & boudin, nametags so he doesn't forget who we are.
    Savage20 - H2O etc.
    Rebel - Tea & utensils.
    c.tiberius - bread, barbeque sauce , pickles
    Tejano Scott - H2O - iced.
Tejano Scott's dad - Spanish rice & Sausage
    unfairbeef -
buffalo chicken dip, chips and chili
    Dawico - cookies & chips

Are you stating this is the OFFICIAL thread of the food department for the gathering formerly known as Hicksville?

If so, I will bring paper plates and possibly, though most likely, plastic cups and paper towels.

    That's covered........NEXT!

I will bring at least one large crockpot of beans and boudin.

I also have clip on name tag holders for everyone. Reusable too.

Ok, so we are a bunch of hungry people, and Clarke counts as a bunch of hungry people all by himself, so we probably oughta do something about it. If the Planning Committee doesn't mind, I can marshall the food thread.

What? No chili cook-off competition? :)

Actually I thought I heard something about food trucks at a previous year? Or am I thinking about another event?
I know a guy with a Food Truck if there is interest in calling him out there.

I don't believe we have ever had a food truck. We also have never had any payment needed for food. Not that it won't work but it has always been free.

Breakfast tacos at 9am or an afternoon meal/ snack would probably sell.

Bah. Food truck guy sold the truck. He still does catering though if anyone is interested.

I was initially planning on campfire cooking for just myself. But if there is an alternative, then I wont have to subject anyone (incl. myself) to my cooking. :)
