I genuinely meant my offer, I would’ve hired him. Everyone has to start somewhere, some are just to dumb to try. Those are the ones that make me worry for my sons future.
I think most of us here knew your offer was sincere. Kind of pissed me off he was so flippant about your offer. Didn't even seem to be appreciative in the least. That's why I suspect he will be a lifetime loser.

Personally, I think most are just scared of hard work!
Could very well be the case, I’ve hired several younger guys and they do tend to be more concerned with their hair and phone. So I think your spot on. I had 1 tell me his dream is to have a library of video games. I just look at them like WTF is wrong with y’all?

There is hope for the future. My 18 year old grandson works 6 days a week for a large animal vet.

His goal is to have a gun collection and reloading stash bigger than mine.

Showed him how to put a AR together a couple weeks back.

That boy has continued to make us proud.

When I get discouraged with the younger generations, I think about my neices. Both have done very well in school and are doing very well at college. And they aren't afraid of hard work. You should see them building fence and clearing brush.

You are right, I have met 1 here or there like that who gives me hope. Thank god some actually raised their children, we might not be completely screwed.

Congratulations on that, we could use many more like him. You should be very proud, that is awesome.

It’s great to hear this, gives us some hope for humanity for sure.
