Well, I am through with my GMC Sierra. The Duramax isn't as reliable as I thought it was and now it is going up for sale after the injectors are changed out.

Well, now instead of a full sized, I am looking for a midsized truck auto. I was looking at Tacoma Prerunner with an I4 or Nissan Frontier with an I4. V8s and V6s are just too much for what I do right now.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

Both the Toyota and the Nissan are good trucks. The KA24 engine in the Nissan is known for timing chain issues once the miles get over 150K or so. 4 cylinder Toyotas eat up timing chain guides at about the same time. NEW, neither one gets great gas mileage because they have grown and are quite heavy compared to older models.

2004 was the last year for the small Frontier. My brother has one (excab 2wd) and it gets about 25 MPG with the 4cyl / 5 speed. If you can find one of those without super high miles, they are quite good little trucks.
