The first thing I though of was BEER after first reading this..LOL

That is funny. I wasn't even thinking along those lines, but now that you point it out, it looks like I planned it that way. Living in the country means I don't have to go to the range to shoot.

To get back - sorta on topic - People freak out when they are to the right of me on a range. Yes, I'm showering them with hot brass - as usually am I. Why get your freaking panties in a wad over it? I've had people pissed at me about it. I guess I should say something like "Sorry my gun sticks the brass out farther than yours."

    What about splitting lanes?

Heh. I was at a range the other day comparing an XDS and G43. I was in the middle of a reload when I noticed my target move slightly. Sure enough, there was a new hole there, and not from either of the pieces on my bench...

Way too often at my local indoor range, I'm shooting my .22 pistol at 25 yards and, when I pull it back in, there are several larger-caliber holes in it from the shooters on either side of me who are generally shooting at less than (sometimes much less than) 10 yards.

I'm with the OP. Ranges should spread out their patrons whenever possible.
