Don't know the Lady, she might be swell, might have ideas and ideals similiar to the majority of conservative Texans.....BUT....A third runner for the Governor's seat could, might, will, split the conservative ticket and possibly elect that pea head liberal from Houston ! November is when we conservatives must clean house here at home and in Washington and I am not saying that Rick Perry is the only answer we Texans have but it is playing a dangerous hand to split the ticket and elect that one from H.......

Split vote argument doesn't work for me anymore honestly, I've held my nose and voted too many times and all it's brought me is "change" not any progress. I'm voting my conscious and not for politics. If a candidate wants my vote they will be the one that best matches my agenda and wants to take us in the direction I'd like.

Like Perry? I won't call him liberal, but he is obviously in this for himself and his career.

Perry could be better, but the simple fact that my rights have gotton better with him in office gains my respect over the competition he faces..
If Brewer want the Job, I would vote for her in a snap..
This other mess we got wanting the job wont do us any good.

    Truth?

Doesn't have a chance in hell of being elected... Just like every other Libertarian candidate. Votes will likely be taken away from Perry and advantage given to White.

I wish I could tell you otherwise, but truth is truth. It's a shame but idealistic Libertarians will vote for her regardless...

How can we change anything if we keep doing the same thing over and over and over? Isn't that Albert Einstein's definition of insanity? Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

We vote for republicans and anyone with an (R) by their name to not give an inch to the Democrats.

This doesn't work for me any more. I want the (R)s to feel threatened enough to listen to Libertarian voters or ousted in favor of Libertarian candidates.

We do it by FIRST of all getting a conservative in place...the most electable one, as dis-tasteful as that is, it's the way it works now. Any vote cast for a third party canidate at this point is the same as a vote for White.

Once we GET the conservative in office, we do two things...we hold their feet to the fire on conservative values and smaller government, and we start the day AFTER election finding, grooming, polishing and postitioning the NEXT canidate.

Think Third party canidates don't take away votes from conservatives? First of all, you never see a third party candidate that is a liberal...but take a look at Clinton vs Bush. Clinton didn't win, Bush lost because of Perot. Had he not of come on the scene, every single exit poll showed that Bush would have won a second term.

It is what it is...and we can either work from WITH IN A BROKEN SYSTEM to FIX it, or we can get our asses handed to us by trying to run unknown, unproven who had very little if any exposure prior to the election.

I agree that we need a change...a BIG change...from the dog catcher to the white house, but with the two parties so strongly in control we have to beat them from within, and that means we start looking for the person that we want to replace Perry or White NOW, and have them postioned to BEAT them in the NEXT election. But we DON'T hand over power to the liberals in the mean time by spending a conservative vote on anythina but the conservative (or less liberal) of the two "names"

To vote for the third party at this stage is the same thing as voting for White.

I will not vote for someone when there is a better candidate on the ballot. It (voting for the lesser of two bads) doesn't work.

I can hold my nose and let White win and the next candidate will hopefully listen harder to the voters they've alienated.

    We the people.

That's where our government draws its strength from and thats what they have lost sight of in Washington.

Sorry, but that is one of the most idiotic statements I have ever heard. That is essentially what we did in 08, we "let" a democrat get elected by running a poor, RINO candidate with the hopes that the "next" candidate will emerge to show the country how wrong we were.

Are we better off today? Things looking up? An American hating, left wing, Anti-American, anti-gun, Socialist is running the country now and putting more left wing legislating judges in place that will impact the country for years down the road. The economy, unemployment, failed businesses, poverty on the rise, .... all are at their worst with no end in sight.

Do you think that liberals have "seen the light" and will abandon Obammy, Peelosi, and Reid? Not on your friggin' life. Obammy's poll numbers are still high, Peelosi is sure to be reelected, Reid looks like he may stay in too. Look at New Jerk. Rangle has been re-nomintated with record numbers. Over in Harlem, they don't have the same conscience that you do.

You may want to "do the right thing", vote for a logical Libertarian, spank that evil Rick Perry, but there is no way in HELL that democrats are going to give an inch.

If White is elected over Perry to show the world that we are sincere, "sanctuary city" White will step over your face on his way to dragging Texas down to the rest of the country.

And sadly, that's the way it is in politics.

3rd party candidates ares for losers who want their 15 minutes. If you want to win, you need to pick either the Dems or Repubs and run in the primary.

Debra Medina ran and lost in the primary. Perry & White won. No different than 4 years ago with grandma & kinky.

I voted for Bob Barr last elections. Some would say I got Obama elected. Others that I woke up conservatives, showed them what we are fighting against and told the Republican RINOs that they are out of touch with their supporters.

Why not take a look at all the candidates and choose who's right for the job? (Republican) (Democrat) (Independent) (Libertarian) are just labels not commands.

In theory, I agree with you. In practice, no Libertarian candidate is going to be elected -- so the real effect of a Libertarian vote is to help ensure the Democrat candidate's election. If that's your goal, then no problem. Bottom line is that either the Democrat or the Republican will be elected ... so spend your vote accordingly.

Republicans have been running 10 degrees off course to the left for so long I think JFK would be able to run Republican if he were alive today.

If your goal is to vote for straw man conservatives like McCain who can't turn out the conservative vote running against a candidate like Obama you've succeeded. If the Republicans want me to vote for them put out some better choices and listen to their base better.
