    this is my favorite survival blade ever. I recommend the synthetic handle as opposed to the leather handle. The leather handle gets really slippery in the rain, but the synchetics not as much. Unfortunatly I have the leather handle but still love it.

    I have a Kabar Next Generation that I keep in the truck. It's not a Model 1 Randall but it can handle any tough job and I don't have to worry about scratching it up. Just like most leaving the factory, it'll need a good sharpening before use.

    Kabar has been around for over a hundred years and they only make knives. That tells me something.
