15. Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and successful. They hate America, they hate Western civilization, they hate white males, they hate rationality. The reasons that leftists give for hating the West, etc. clearly do not correspond with their real motives. They SAY they hate the West because it is warlike, imperialistic, sexist, ethnocentric and so forth, but where these same faults appear in socialist countries or in primitive cultures, the leftist finds excuses for them, or at best he GRUDGINGLY admits that they exist; whereas he ENTHUSIASTICALLY points out (and often greatly exaggerates) these faults where they appear in Western civilization. Thus it is clear that these faults are not the leftist's real motive for hating America and the West. He hates America and the West because they are strong and successful.

I've told people Ted Kaczynski was right about a lot of things- but his approach was all wrong. If he just stayed in his shack and waited for the world to fall apart instead of trying to do the impossible and save it he would have been fine.

I have always maintained that the foundation of liberalism is hypocrisy.

Well... obviously Ted loses me where he starts making bombs and mailing them. Once he jumped in the wacko bin, he needed to go down for good. His writings on the other hand, were pretty right on in many places.

Well... obviously Ted loses me where he starts making bombs and mailing them. Once he jumped in the wacko bin, he needed to go down for good. His writings on the other hand, were pretty right on in many places.

It's surprising he doesn't have a huge following like that of Manson- who also had some good ideas. But yeah, fighting the industrial revolution with mail bombs? Needless to say it's as crazy as it gets; but considering the mechanics and chemistry of the bombs it also seems a little hypocritical.

The "Unabomber Manifesto" is definitely an excellent read, though. Not sure if you're aware, but there is also an article he wrote for (I believe) ALF about how to make booby-traps for recreational off-roaders who rock and roll through wildlife areas. It is interesting.
