I would have thought the smell of melting plastic would have been noticed before any rounds coked off.

I have a foil pan that I us wt my Kamado some times. After washing it I use to put it in the oven to store it. The great burnt on grease & wood smoke would heat up & smoke like hell.

A dehumidifier rod would have been a much cheaper option,

I keep mine in the dishwasher. Keeps them hidden and very clean. Much more convenient than the old way when I used to hand wash them.

Not the fault of the gun or the oven. It was the idiot that put the two together.
