I hear ya, I was thinking more instant gratification with LP vs charcoal.
My buddy bought a small table top grill that used map gas for his dads high rise. It ended up at the renfest, and I cooked Friday nights on it. It would get real hot and was total instant gratification.I hear ya, I was thinking more instant gratification with LP vs charcoal.
What about the lodge sportsman grill?
How to Clean and Store the Sportsman’s Pro Cast Iron Grill™
For most people, the only aspect of grilling they don’t enjoy is the thought of the cleanup that follows. But with the Sportsman’s Pro, it’s easy to make sure you’re all set for the next gathering by cleaning and storing it properly to ensure a spotless, rust-free grill for generations to come.www.lodgecastiron.com
Thanks, Axxe, my Lodge, cast iron loaf pan now has three vent holes in each side.
I'm gonna build a fire in it when it cools off outside and use one of those handled, two-sided grill cages on top of it.
I'll report back.
This is when y'all are supposed to yank my chain and tell me that Lodge no longer makes loaf pans and it was a priceless antique!
My suggestion as well...small, efficient, almost indestructible and well worth the entry fee in my humble opinion. I sometimes use a camp cooking grate over mine to extend the cooking area just a bit or to create a keeping/warming area. What about the lodge sportsman grill?

I want to watch you cut it open.I've got a couple of cylinders.
Like an oxygen cylinder, but came from Brazil and not DOT.
I think I'll split one and make a few of these.
End plate material is laying around here somewhere.
Shipped with "dry air" stenciled on themI want to watch you cut it open.
From a distance.
This may work! Perfect size for two burgers, or a squirrel!
12 briquets.
I've already fixed supper, so this is just a trial run. If anything I might need to make the vent holes a little bit bigger.
