Um, I do that to keep the stuff out of your way so you don't slip all over it. I won't sweep up in front of someone if that's what you're talking about, but if there's tons of brass right behind them, I sweep it out of their way as a common courtesy sort of thing. Plus it keeps the place looking nicer. If someone says they reload, I don't sweep their stuff up. You know, honestly, I don't even know why I F'in try anymore.
I appreciate the effort but in a 3 ft x 3 ft area, I don't think slipping is an issue. Plus, it's easy enough to sweep the brass aside with my feet. I, as a courtesy sort of thing, usually grab the broom and sweep the area I was in anway -- when I'm done shooting.

I do understand sweeping behind the shooters because that is the active walkway to get to the shooting stations. I'm all for that and I'm sure everyone appreciates it. I prefer not to have a broom going between my legs when I'm shooting.

All I know, is if I/somebody else does something dumb (even if on accident) I'd much rather deal with a RO yelling at me/them then getting shot or shooting somebody else.

Yup, that pretty much says it all right there. I appreciate the fact that there are great folks working at both stores looking out for their customers.

    Thanks guys!!!

If anyone is sweeping brass from between your legs when you are shooting (I think I know who that is), tell them Travis said to pay attention to sh*t that matters (like people being unsafe with loaded guns) and leave the brass for later! That's over the top. ;) LOL

You'd be surprised man. Idiots always find a way. I've seen some of the strangest stuff happen that makes me wonder, "How the F did they manage that?! They divided by 0!" LOL

Lots of people handle their weapons the same way they drive, and the same way they perform their jobs: SLOPPY!

I'm pretty freakin' thankful for the "range nazi's" whenever I'm out shooting, which I really need to do more often.
I tend to notice that I'm completely ignored by them. ...must have something to do with they way I conduct myself on the range.
