That is not correct with regard to riots and civil commotion (a form of civil unrest by larger group of people than in a riot).

This piece describes the coverage somewhat and as it notes and can be found elsewhere, civil unrest losses are covered for the crap going on currently in both homeowners and business policies.

Another source saying much the same and another. This one is CA specific but probably the same in most other states.

So what does that mean - insurance rates will be skyrocketing by next year at the latest.

Didn’t the owner of the twin towers get a giant insurance pay out?

    To All,

Personally, I'm staying OUT of the MESS downtown & don't stick my nose into what I regard as CRAZINESS & LUNACY.
(90% of what is going on here has ZILCH to do with George Floyd or his murder. = Most is about STEALING things & committing vandalism.)

I've been outside TWICE today. = Once for a full tank of gas & the other time to a suburban HEB for necessaries.

Climb our high fence, break into my cottage & suffer a gunshot wound to the K5 area.

    yours, satx

Haven’t done anything different (I’m retired). Rarely make trips out that aren’t necessary to begin with. Have no reason to go into “downtown” areas [Dallas]. Pretty well “armed to the teeth” anyway - no change there! It’s Texas so I’m ready/willing/able to protect my home/property.

Bad cops have been arrested and jailed. Time for the Justice system to run it’s course. The rest of it is just lawlessness. George Floyd’s death is not what’s going on here!

As has been pointed out innumerable times, the ‘black community’ is really quite schizoid over this stuff. Meanwhile in Chicago alone (year to date, thru May): 1,212 shot (of which 225 killed) and 72% blacks. That’s almost 180 black homicides (some, not killed by guns). Where’s the outrage nationally over these kinds of numbers - especially if cities other than just Chicago are counted? Say what? [Source: heyjackass.com]
